Not So Fast 2025🏃🏽➡️
2024 is one for the record books. Hopefully, you are already writing down your plans, goals, and initiatives for 2025. As we prepare to shut the door on 2024, I wanted to share 3 things you must consider before we cross over to 2025.
1. Doing Business as an LLC or Corporation
If your business is an LLC or Corporation in the US, then surely you have heard of the Corporate Transparency Act of 2021, which was a bill that stated that all “corporations” (LLC, Corp) must register their business to the (BOI) registry on or before the deadline of Jan 1, 2025. However, as of Dec 3rd, a federal court ruled that this bill was unconstitutional, and for now, you don’t have to register your business. But you need to keep your eyes open and pay attention to this because things could change.
See the video below of my legal friend Temi Siyanbade discussing this bill’s ruling. Be sure to follow her, as she is an amazing creator and a good business/legal source.

2. What’s Going to Happen to TikTok
TikTok is again on the chopping block. TikTok faces a potential ban on January 19th, 2025. A recent court ruling upheld a law mandating the sale of TikTok or its removal from US app stores unless a deal is reached with the US government. As the deadline approaches, TikTok is exploring all legal avenues to challenge the ban and secure its future in the US market. The outcome of this situation remains uncertain, but it will undoubtedly cause a stir in the social arena and digital platforms.
My Take: I think that court appeals will keep TikTok in the US past Jan 19th. I do find it ironic that the ban will take effect on Jan 19th, one day before the Presidential inauguration (Jan 20th). It’s almost like someone was looking down the road in consideration of the presidential outcome. This is just my sneaky suspicion. President Trump has stated he would not ban TikTok. Read it here: Trump and TikTok
Regardless of the outcome, if you are active on TikTok, you need to keep tabs on this and make sure you are keeping your audience in the loop, as it’s uncertain what will happen to TikTok. If TikTok gets banned, where will you divert your audience? Read paragraph 3.
3. Two Must-Haves for 2025
Considering the TikTok ban there are two digital pieces of real estate you must have. Those two are:
- Website – A website is your digital home that you own
- Email Marketing – Use email to build relationships with your audience.
If your digital ownership is only social media, first you must understand you don’t own it! If TikTok gets banned or if you get shadowbanned accidentally your favorite social media platform, how will you reach your audience? Having a website ensures you will always have a place for your audience to call home. They can reach you online 24 hours a day (like the 24hr Boss).
Email marketing will allow you to reach your audience instantly to keep them in the know. Reach 100s or even 1000s after hitting the SEND button. If you’re serious about what you do, then these two are the best ways to level up your digital presence professionally. Don’t get caught lacking.😁 Make sure Digital ownership is a part of your 2025 goals. Put your business out front for your audience and the World Wide Web.
